Tigers Football
Banquet Scheduled for Jan. 11, 2018! (11/28/2017)
The annual Rockwood High School football banquet
sponsored by the Rockwood Rotary Club will be
Thursday, Jan. 11, at The First Baptist Church
Rockwood Family Life Center at 6:30 p.m. Advance
tickets are on sale for $8 each or 2 for $15 and $10
at the door. They can purchased from any Rockwood
Rotarian and at Live and Let Live Drug Store,
Rockwood High School, Rockwood Middle School or
S.K.O.'s Bits & Bobs (across from REU). "Rockwood
(10-4, 3-1) had an outstanding season. A large crowd
is expected to attend, so get your tickets early,"
said Ed Greif, Rockwood Rotary Club president.
Former Tennessee and UT-Chattanooga quarterback B.J.
Coleman is the guest speaker.
Tigers Fall Just
Short to Tyner 16-10. (11/24/17)
The Tigers fall just short to the Tyner Rams by a
score of 16-10. The Tigers finish the year with
their best season since 2009 with a record of 10-4.
Congrats to the Tigers on a fantastic and amazing
2017 season!

Tigers Upset #1
Ranked Meigs County 9-8! (11/17/17)
Your Rockwood Tigers have
just knocked off the #1 ranked team in Class
2A(Meigs County) by a score of 9-8. The Tigers have
now won 8 straight games and improve to 10-3 on the
year and advance to The Final Four of the State
Football Playoffs! Congrats Tigers! The Tigers will
face Tyner next week..

Media Days Video

The 2017-2018 Basketball Season is upon us
and the Rockwood Sports Network is proud to
present our annual Basketball Media Days Video.
The video includes player interviews and
highlights and an in depth interview with Coach K. We
encourage all Tiger Fans to come out and support
this years Basketball teams.

Tigers Get Huge
2nd Round Playoff Win 29-20 (11/10/17)
Rockwood advances to the 3rd round of the playoffs
with a huge win over Sullivan North 29-20! The Tigers improve to
9-3 on the year and will travel to Decatur next week
to take on the Meigs County Tigers.

Tigers Win 1st
Round Playoff Game (11/3/17)
Rockwood advances to the 2nd round of the playoffs
with a win over Hampton 45-14. The Tigers improve to
8-3 on the year and will travel to Kingsport next
week to take on the Sullivan North Raiders.

Tigers Win 5th
Straight Game of Season 41-13 Over Cumerland Gap (10/27/17)
Rockwood gets its 5th straight victory of the season
over Cumberland Gap 41-13. The Tigers improve to 7-3
on the year and will host a 1st round playoff game
next Friday.

Tigers Roar Over
Hancock County 47-0 (10/20/17)
Rockwood rolled over Hancock County by a score of
47-0 as they continue to drive towards the playoffs.
The Tigers improve to 6-3 on the season and will
face Cumberland Gap for Homecoming/Senior Night next
week.

Tigers gets
another big region road win over Wartburg 40-12 (10/13/17)
Rockwood rolled over the Wartburg Bulldogs by a
score of 40-12. The Tigers improve to 5-3 on the
season and will face Hancock County away in another
region game next week.

Tigers upset 9th
Ranked Oneida 27-7 (9/29/17)
Rockwood went into Oneida and pulled off a huge
upset victory tonight over the 9th ranked Indians by
a score of 27-7. The Tigers improve to 4-3 on the
season and will face Wartburg in another region game
in 2 weeks at Wartburg.

Tigers get season
back on track with huge win over rival Harriman
36-15 (9/22/17)
The Tigers avenged a shutdown loss last year to
rival Harriman with a 36-15 victory over the Blu
Devils tonight. The Tigers improve to 3-3 on the
season and will face Oneida in a huge region game
next week.

to Meigs County 48-27 (9/15/17)
The Meigs County Tigers
defeated the Rockwood Tigers 48-27. The Tigers are
now 2-3 on the season. Rockwood will face rival
Harriman at Harriman next week.

The Kingston Yellow Jackets
defeated the Rockwood Tigers 49-28. The Tigers are
now 2-2 on the season. Rockwood will face Meigs
County at home next Friday Night.

over Tellico 33-13 (9/1/17)
The Rockwood Tigers exploded
in the second have and rolled over the Tellico
Plains Bears 33-13. The Tigers are
now 2-1 on the season. Rockwood will face rival
Kingston at home next Friday Night.

Rockwood 27-18 (8/25/17)
The Sweetwater Wildcats
defeated the Rockwood Tigers 27-18. The Tigers are
now 1-1 on the season. Rockwood will travel to
Tellico Plains next Friday Night.

Pemberton has passed away
(8/20/17)
Sunday, August 20 at 2:24 former Rockwood Coach Tom
Pemberton passed away. Arrangements are incomplete
at this time and will be announced as they become
available. Evans Mortuary is serving the Pemberton

Rockwood Knocks
off Midway in a Shootout 41-40 (8/18/17)
“The Price was Right” for the Rockwood Tigers Friday
night, as senior Zander Price picked off a pass by
Midway quarterback Jason Taylor to preserve his
team’s 41-40 victory over Green Wave in the season
opener for both schools on Civitan Field.

Rockwood Defeats
Oliver Springs 14-7 in Jamboree(8/11/17)
The Rockwood Tigers, behind
TD runs from Ryan McCain and Dylan Williams defeated
the Oliver Springs Bobcats 14-7 at Civitan Field.
The Tigers will face the Midway Greenwaves next
Friday at home.

2017 RHS Football Season Tickets(7/24/17)
The 2017 football season is
rapidly approaching. The Tigers will open up on
Friday, August 11 in the Roane County Football
Jamboree. RHS, under head coach John Webb, advanced
to the first round of the playoffs last year and is
looking to improve on that with 18 returning
seniors.
We would like to invite you once again to purchase
season tickets to Tiger home games. There are five
(5) home games this year that includes the Roane
County Jamboree. The
cost for reserved seats will be $35.00 per ticket.
In addition to game tickets, you may purchase a
preferred parking pass for the lot behind the
visitors’ bleachers for an additional $10.00. If you
wish to purchase a parking pass only, the cost is
$20.00.
This year’s schedule is as follows:
August 11 - Roane County Football Jamboree
August 18 - Midway
September 8 - Kingston
September 15 - Meigs County * (Homecoming Game)
October 27 - Cumberland Gap*
*Region Game
All home games begin at 7:30 P.M.
To purchase season tickets and/or a parking pass,
please submit your payment to Rockwood High School
at the address below and pick up your tickets from
the main gate at the first home game or if you
prefer, you may stop by the school to pick up your
tickets or contact Chase Clem at 805-2103.

2017 Jamboree Information
(7/23/17)
The 2017 Jamboree will be held on Friday, August 11
and will begin at 7:30 @ Rockwood High School. The
quarters will be 15 minutes in length. The playing
order will be as follows:
First Quarter: Harriman vs Scott County
Second Quarter: Kingston vs Oneida
Third Quarter: Midway vs Oneida
Fourth Quarter: Rockwood vs Oliver Springs
The Roane County schools will be the home team and
wear dark colored jerseys. Oliver Springs will wear
the dark colored jerseys and use the visitors
sideline.
1947 Team Page
(3/6/17)
One of Rockwood's greatest football teams was the
1947 Tigers. They went 10-1 that year (including a
win in the Lions Bowl) and their defense only gave
up 32 points for the entire year. This year will
mark the 70th Anniversary of that team. The RHS
Football Alumni has created a 1947 Team Page to
