Ryan McCain and Dylan Williams scored one
touchdown each as the Rockwood Tigers
defeated the Oliver Springs Bobcats 14-7 in
the Roane County Jamboree on Civilian Field
at Tom Pemberton Stadium Friday night.
McCain scored on a 13-yard run with 12:58
left in the quarter to cap a five-play,
70-yard drive. Trey Treadway converted the
PAT.,
Joe Asburn, Zander Pricee and Caleb Bowen
each carried once, while Nate Brackett
passed 26 yards to Treadway for a first
down.
Oliver Springs then drove 70 yards in eight
plays to tie the game at 7-7 on a five-yard
run by Dillon Walls and Zack Brooks' PAT
with 8:41 left in the quarter.
Walls carried three times for 10 yards,
while Landon Everett, Blake Crass and
Michael Crawford each toted the pigskin for
the Bobcats. Crass passed for 15 yards to
Mason Hill.
The Tigers second possession started at
their 30 with an eight-yard run by Zander
Price. Carries by Carter Barnes and Price
put the ball at the OS 45. Bracket passed
for 15 yards to Williams at the OS 30. Two
carries by McCain for 20 yards and two more
by Williams for 15 yards, including a
10-yarder for a TD, led to a 13-7 lead with
3:39 left. Treadway's PAT made it 14-7.
Oliver Springs was stopped on downs at their
45, thanks to the Tiger defense led by Tre'
Falls, Jonathan Gann and John Metcalfe.
The Tigers open the regular season Aug. 18
against Midway, which lost 20-6 to Oneida in
