Rockwood's Season Ends at Oneida (11/14/2014) |
Oneida defeated Rockwood 21-7
in the 2nd Round of the TSSAA ending the Tigers season.

Rockwood prevails over Boyd Buchanan 24-21 (11/7/2014) |
Rockwood advances to the 2nd round of the TSSAA Playoffs
with a win over Boyd Buchanan 24-21. The Tigers are now
8-3 on the season. The Tigers will be in action next

Rockwood Draws Boyd Buchanan for 1st playoff game of
2014 (11/1/2014) |
The Rockwood Tiger drew a familiar foe for their first
round playoff game this year as they will travel to Boyd
Buchanan HS on Chattanooga this Friday night. The Tigers
have traveled this road before in 2009 and 2011-2012
losing all 3 times. The Tigers enter Friday's game with
a record of 7-3 coming off a huge season ending win over
a ranked Grace Christian team. Boyd comes on with a
record of 5-5. Oneida, with a first round bye, awaits
the winner of Friday's game. Everyone get out Friday and
let's support the TIGERS.

Rockwood stuns Grace Christian 22-15 to improve to 7-3
overall and 4-2 in district play. The Tigers will be in
action next Friday Night in the 1st round of the TSSAA

The Tigers jumped out to a 21-7 lead in the 3rd quarter,
but the Kingston Yellow Jackets used a no-huddle offense
to comeback and defeat the Tigers 28-21. The Players of the

Rockwood Vs Sunbright Jamboree Recap (8/15/14) |
The Rockwood Tigers fought Sunbright to a 0-0 tie in the
2014 Jamboree game. Rockwood rushed the ball 10 times
for 62 yards, with Drake Long accounting for 48 of those
yards. Will Warner was 0-2 in the passing department and
was sacked 1 time. On the defensive side, Austin Copper
had an interception and the defensive forced 3 fumbles
but couldn't recover any of them. The Tigers now start
to prepare for next week's opponent - The Oneida
Indians.

Rockwood Tigers Pre-Season Schedule and Registration
Reminder |
|
The Rockwood Tigers had their first day in full pads on
Monday. They will hold their annual picture day on
Thursday July 31st at Civitan Field. We will be there
with new pictures and interviews with coaches and
players for the website. The Tigers will hold a
scrimmage with Sunbright on August 7 at home starting at
about 6:00. We will scrimmage Scott County on the 14th
at Rockwood starting about 6:00. The Jamboree will be
the following day August 15th at Oliver Springs with
Rockwood playing Sunbright with a start time TBA.
If you have not registered as a former player , coach
or manager we urge you to do so as soon as you can.

Mr. Jack Howard Evans
Has Passed Away (posted 7/9/2014) |
Mr. Jack Howard Evans father of Rockwood Football
Alumni Barry Evans, class of 1977 and member of the
1976 state Champions, and father-in -law of Kevin
McCuiston, Class of 1978 and also a member of the 1976
State Champions, passed away at his home on July 7. He wwas 84 years old. Please be in prayer for the Evans
family during this time. Evans Mortuary is serving the
Evans family.

Former Rockwood Football Alumni Mr. John Harper Evans
Has Passed Away (posted 6/24/2014) |
Former Rockwood Football Alumni Mr. John Harper Evans,
age 79 of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away on Monday,
June 2, 2014 at the Roane Medical Center. John was in
the class of 1952 and a long time supporter of the
Rockwood Football Alumni Association. Mr. Evans was born
July 19, 1934 to John A. & Fay Bowman Evans. Mr. Evans
was a member of First Baptist Church in Rockwood,
Tennessee. He was Graduate of Rockwood High School; He
earned a Degree in Engineering from Tennessee Tech and a
Masters from the University of Tennessee. Mr. Evans was
retired from Martin-Marietta with 35 years’ service as a
Mechanical Engineer. He was a Life-long Member of the
NRA. John was preceded in Death by Parents: John A. &
Fay Evans; Brother: Dr. Tom W. Evans
